Earlier this week, a customer called asking for help at their off-grid cabin. During winter visits, the client was shoveling about 100 feet of driveway by hand, in addition to clearing small paths around the house and walking trails that lead into the woods.

But late night arrivals and frigid temperatures meant this would be difficult, especially with the amount of snow the area had received over the previous weekend. After a brief search to find reliable snow removal services in the area, they called Karner Blue Landscaping for help.

Below, you can see before and after photos showing what the property looked like between the client’s back-breaking shoveling work, and KBL’s fast, efficient snow plow clearing.

BEFORE (above): The customer had shoveled the driveway by hand, and flattened other areas by driving in and out. This caused high spots, and failed to remove several inches of snow depth – which can lead to ice or slush buildup and is difficult to walk through.

AFTER (below): KBL plowed excess snow out of the driveway, and hand shoveled high spots to create a safe, welcoming parking area which the client could enjoy.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS (below): The client requested that all snow be piled to the left side of the driveway, avoiding build up directly in front of the cabin where snow from the roof accumulates and windows provide a nice view. This requirement also ensures that a path on the right of the drive remains open, so the customer can access their firewood and solar panel (not photoed).
